Ohrid to Skopje Airport (SKP)
A private transfer from Ohrid to Skopje Airport (SKP) covers 180 km and takes about 2 hours 40 minutes, almost all of it on the A2 motorway through Kicevo and Gostivar.
The fare is 9,000 den (~€147) per vehicle, fixed when you book. We collect you from your hotel, apartment or address anywhere around Lake Ohrid, at the time your flight needs rather than a time that suits a timetable.
Most people booking this run have a morning departure from Skopje, which means leaving Ohrid before dawn. That is a normal booking for us, not an exception.
What time should you leave Ohrid?
Allow about five hours before take-off. That is 2 hours 40 minutes of driving, plus the airport approach, plus two hours for check-in and security on an international departure. Give us the flight number and we set the pickup time from it.
For an early-morning flight that means a pickup between 02:00 and 04:00. The driver confirms the night before, and there is no surcharge beyond the published night rate for pickups between 23:00 and 06:00.
The route north
The drive leaves Ohrid past Struga and climbs to Kicevo, joins the A2 motorway at Gostivar and runs through Tetovo into Skopje. The airport sits east of the city at Petrovec, so the last stretch skirts the capital rather than crossing it.
It is the easiest long drive we run: no border, no mountain pass once you are past Kicevo, and dual carriageway for most of the distance. Winter weather on the Kicevo section is the only thing that ever adds time, and we build that in rather than leaving it to chance.
Hotel and apartment pickup around the lake
The fare covers Ohrid town, the Old Town on the hill and the lakeside hotel strip. Struga sits directly on the route and is often reached sooner. Villages further south, Peshtani, Trpejca and Sveti Naum, are quoted with the same journey.
Enter the address in the booking form and add a map pin or a note if it is hard to find. The driver comes to the door at the agreed time, and calls ahead if you would rather wait inside.
Luggage, passengers and the car
A comfort car takes up to 4 passengers with luggage for one price. Tell us at booking if you are close to the limit, because luggage space runs out before seats do.
Child seats cost 300 den (~€5) each on request. Tell us the ages when you book so we bring the right seat.
